What is Advanced Placement (AP) Program?

The Advanced Placement (AP) Program, designed by the College Board, gives high school students access to college-level courses and the opportunity to earn university credit even before graduating. Recognized by top universities in the US and worldwide, AP is a powerful launchpad for academic advancement. Each year, over 5.2 million students take AP exams at more than 20,000 high schools across the US. These courses are rigorous, university-standard, and cover a wide range of academic disciplines.
