Let's learn more about the AP courses!

AP Pathways at TNIS

The Advanced Placement (AP) program is a core component of the high school learning journey at TNIS, carefully integrated into both academic tracks to maximize students’ academic advantages.

International Track: Maximizing Potential

Students in the International Track are introduced to AP courses as early as Grade 9. AP subjects are integrated in two ways:

Honors Pathway: AP courses in Mathematics, English Language, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences are embedded directly into the main curriculum, replacing standard courses. This creates a seamless and rigorous academic pathway.

Electives: Beyond integrated courses, students can register for 1–2 additional AP electives per year according to their interests and career orientation.

With this flexible structure, International Track students have the opportunity to take a large number of AP courses, building an outstanding academic profile.

Bilingual Track: Focused and Effective

Students in the Bilingual Track begin AP courses in Grade 10. To ensure balance with the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) curriculum, the AP pathway is designed to be focused and efficient. Students can take up to 3–4 AP courses from Grade 10 to Grade 12, primarily through electives. This enables them to complete the national program while gaining an international edge through prestigious AP certifications.
