Through virtual meetings, students had the opportunity to interact with the authors of the books they are currently reading. They learned about the creative process of writing a book, asked insightful questions, and discovered the inspiration behind each story. In addition to author meet-and-greets, students participated in Reading Campouts, where they immersed themselves in book discussions inside colorful tents! The excitement continued with the Book Character Dress-Up Day, where students brought their favorite literary characters to life, fostering a deeper appreciation for the stories they love.
TNISers had the privilege of meeting inspiring authors:
✨ Clarissa Seriña-de la Paz & Monique Leonardo Carlos introduced the Saffi Squirrel series, filled with valuable lessons on friendship and exciting adventures.
✨ Leigh Marino shared the heartwarming journey of To Be a Christmas Tree, capturing the festive spirit of the holiday season.
✨ Kitty Parks unveiled the imaginative world of Izzy Bakers Cats in Business, blending storytelling with entrepreneurial creativity.
✨ Marverly Simpson transported students into a new cultural experience with Welcome to My Village.
✨ Lisa Toner closed the week with Grow Flower, Grow!, a touching story about patience and love.
