How will True North students benefit from AP courses?
Our students will be ready for the challenge and acquire college-level academic skills because AP courses are often comparable to first-year college courses. A student's experiences with the academic rigor of college courses will be demonstrated to universities by having AP coursework on their transcripts, which enhances their college applications.
Students can receive college credit if they decide to take the AP examinations for their AP coursework. Every May, AP tests are given with scores of 1 to 5. A student's test score of 4 or 5 may count toward their college credits, depending on the course and the college. This suggests that students would have the opportunity to complete first-year requirements and possibly graduate earlier, or they would have time to add a second major or minor to their plan.
