This trip marks the first activity within the interdisciplinary project titled "Connecting Time at the Thăng Long Imperial Citadel." During their visit, the students embarked on a journey through the thousand-year-old cultural space of Vietnam, exploring various historical periods. Guided by their teachers and site tour guides, the students personally discovered ancient relics, gaining valuable lessons on history, culture, and architecture at the ancient citadel. This immersive experience fostered a deeper appreciation of the significance of Vietnam’s heritage.
The interdisciplinary project "Connecting Time at the Thăng Long Imperial Citadel" aims to educate students about heritage, strengthen their skills, and broaden their knowledge through the integration of four subjects: Math, History, Geography, and Art. As they explore, students not only gain knowledge but also develop a profound understanding of the harmony between time and space in Vietnam's historical and cultural legacy.
The field trip on September 18 provided students with hands-on experiences and materials for the next stages of the project, which include designing a cultural magazine, creating heritage-themed calendars and cards, and hosting a seminar to present their research findings.
