Position: University Guidance Counselling Officer

POSITION OVERVIEW
The University Guidance Counselling role is responsible for guiding and supporting our middle and high school students (both bilingual and international tracks) through every stage of their university preparation and application journey. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented, and student-centered professional with a deep understanding of international university admissions, particularly in the US/UK/Australia/South Korea, and a passion for mentoring young adults.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
KEY DELIVERABLES & PERFORMANCE METRICS
- Student Management: 100% of assigned students have an updated, personalized roadmap and comprehensive application profile.
- Parent Engagement: Meet with 100% of Grade 11 parents (and other grades as required) at least once per academic year.
- Event Management:
- Attend one major fall and one major spring university fair with students.
- Organize one major career fair or career exploration event annually.
- Execute one local and one international school tour per year.
- Curriculum Development: Build and continuously refine the College & Career Readiness curricula for middle school and high school.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in university counseling, college admissions, school counseling, or international education.
- Strong knowledge of international university admissions, especially in the US, UK, Australia, and South Korea.
- Experience with Common App, UCAS, SAT/ACT, IELTS/TOEFL, scholarships, and financial aid is preferred.
- Experience working with middle and high school students, preferably in an international or bilingual school.
- Strong communication, mentoring, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and student-centered.
