Position Title: Preschool/Primary School Teacher
Work Location: True North School – Lot TH-03, Mo Lao urban area, Ha Dong, Hanoi

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
● Employ a variety of developmentally appropriate instructional and teaching strategies to meet
the needs of learners.
● Guide students in developing mathematical thinking, self-regulation, critical thinking,
foundation reading skills, handwriting skills, speaking and listening skills.
● Ensure the standard outcomes of students following the school's pillars of excellence and
philosophy.
● Plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate lessons, learning centers and activities
that align with the school's educational philosophy and curriculum guidelines.
● Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages children’s growth
and development.
● Manage classroom behavior using positive discipline techniques.
● Conduct regular assessments of students' progress and provide feedback to parents and
school administration.
● Use assessment data to inform instruction and support each child’s individual needs.
● Maintain open and effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on their
child's progress and involving them in the learning process.
● Collaborate with colleagues and school administration.
● Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best
practices in early childhood education.
● Supervise students during classroom activities, outdoor play, and school events.
● Participate in meetings, workshops, trainings, events, and seminars to convey and/or gather
information if required.
● Engage with the school community, participating in events and initiatives that support True
North’s four pillars.
● Other tasks assigned by the Line Manager, Senior Leadership Team and Board of
Management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
● Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject area.
● Teaching in the subject area and within the age of students assigned.
● Excellent knowledge of the developmental needs of students in the age group assigned.
● Knowledge of and experience in using a variety of assessments and differentiated learning
techniques.
● Grounded in knowledge about teaching and learning.
● Effective communicator – communicates well with a diverse community, proficient writing
skills.
● Highly skillful at using technology.
● Strong organizational and time management skills.
