Position Title: Art Teacher (Full-time)

Work Location: True North School – Lot TH-03, Mo Lao urban area, Ha Dong, Hanoi.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Art Teacher plays a critical contribution to the development and enhancement of the quality of the Art teaching provision and the student experience following True North School’s pillars of excellence and philosophy. 

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Teach Art to students following the international track;
• Grade students’ assessments, report students’ results;
• Ensure the standard outcomes of students following school’s pillars of excellence and philosophy;
• Review tests with students to ensure they are fulfilling requirements and are placed in the proper classes or programs;
• Prepare classroom and course materials;
• Coordinate with R&D Department to build, develop and apply an art curriculum program for students.
• Organize and support in extracurricular art programs, such as art clubs, workshops, or competitions;
• Support students participating in art-related activities;
• Organize and manage art exhibitions, showcases, and other art-related events within the school;
• Collaborate with other teachers, students, and external organizations to plan and execute art displays and community art projects;
• Communicate with parents upon request;
• Participate in meetings, workshops, trainings, events, and seminars to convey and/or gather information if required;

• Other tasks assigned by the Line Manager, Senior Leadership Team and Board of Management.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or College degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, Visual Arts, or a related field;
• A recognized teaching or pedagogical certificate is required;
• At least 1 year of experience teaching Art at schools, educational institutions, or art centers;
• Basic English communication skills;
• Creative, enthusiastic, and positive, with the ability to inspire and engage students;
• Clear and easy-to-understand communication skills;
• Strong classroom management skills;
• Experience participating in art exhibitions, art projects, or creative events is an advantage;
• Ability to apply technology and innovative teaching methods in Art lessons;
• Ability to design and develop Art curriculum and learning programs;
• Passion for Art education and commitment to supporting students’ creativity and artistic development.
