The air was electric in the Conference Room on February 21st, as our talented Bilingual ES students stepped up to the challenge of the Spelling Bee Contest – a highlight of Literacy Week at TNIS. With minds sharp and spirits high, our young spellers navigated through 02 ROUNDS of competition, showcasing their dedication, perseverance, and outstanding English skills:
🔠 ROUND 1: SPEED & PRECISION
Each participant had 1.5 minutes to spell out 10 words. The order of competition: Grade 5 → Grade 4 → Grade 3 → Grade 2 → Grade 1. To ensure fairness, contestants waiting for their turn wore noise-canceling headphones.
🚀 ROUND 2: DIRECT KNOCKOUT
The final four contestants from Round 1 faced off in an head-to-head buzzer round. With only 05 seconds to respond, reflexes were just as crucial as spelling skills! A correct spelling earned 1 point, while a mistake opened the door for others to steal.
AND THE WINNERS ARE…
🥇 Khuất Minh Khôi, Nguyễn Hải Aqua, Allan, Minh Khôi A, Thùy Lâm
🥈 Thiện Dũng, Tiến Minh, Hiếu Anh, Như An, Thái An
🥉 Nguyễn Dương Vy Linh, Phan Lê An Nhiên, Nguyễn Thái Sơn, Lê Thạch Anh, Bảo Lâm, Trí Du, Đức Vinh, Sehyun, Daniel, Đức Minh
This year’s Spelling Bee was more than just a competition—it was a celebration of learning, resilience, and the power of words. Special thanks to our dedicated teachers, judges, and organizers who made this event a success!
