The Winter Around the World event at True North International School has come to a joyful and unforgettable close! TNIS transformed into a “miniature world” where the cultures of 15 nations came alive through unique performances, a vibrant cultural parade, and bustling activity booths!
✨ Event Highlights ✨
Opening Performances:
🌟 A heartfelt "Hello Vietnam" by Grades 1A, 2A, along with parents and teachers.
💃 A dynamic "Beijing Welcomes You" by Grade 3A.
🔥 A thrilling "Rasputin" by Grade 6A.
🌈 An energetic "Law" by the dance crew from Grades 4A and 5A.
⚡ A grand rendition of "Thunder" by Imagine Dragons, performed by TNIS teachers and students.
Cultural Parade:
A cultural exploration through a parade showcasing the essence of 15 nations with iconic costumes and activities:
🍜 Vietnam – Graceful and traditional with áo dài and conical hats.
🌹 Spain – Vibrant and colorful with festive flair.
🎋 Japan – Elegant with traditional kimono attire.
🎸 USA – Energetic with a modern vibe.
🌼 Thailand – Bright and cheerful with the golden hues of the Land of Smiles.
❄️ Russia – Sophisticated and classic with winter-themed outfits.
Cultural Booths:
Each class decorated their booth to represent a country, featuring signature dishes and exciting challenges for students to conquer.
Christmas Performances:
🎄 A joyful "Feliz Navidad" by Pre-school, 1I, and 2I.
🎵 A cheerful "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" by Grade 4A.
🎅 A festive "Jingle Bell Rock" by Grade 10I.
🎻 Beautiful renditions of "Santa Tell Me" by the Orchestra and "How Long Will I Love You" by Ms. Courtney.
Exciting Minigames:
Our students completed challenges at the national booths to collect stamps from 15 countries. The first 30 winners earned delightful prizes!
AWARDS FOR OUTSTANDING BOOTHS
🏆 Best Cultural Representation: Germany 🇩🇪, represented by Grade 4A – recreated the lively spirit of traditional Oktoberfest celebrations with a stunningly cultural booth.
🏆 Best Team Spirit Award: Korea 🇰🇷, represented by Grade 5I – showcased unity, creativity, and enthusiasm in every activity.
🏆 Culinary Delight: Vietnam 🇻🇳, represented by Grades 1A and 2A – featured exquisite and flavorful traditional dishes.
