TNISers participated in a variety of Pi-themed challenges. The day kicked off with a thrilling 3.14km run, where Middle-High school students raced across the nearby park. Meanwhile, our Elementary students designed vibrant Pi posters, showcasing the significance of this infinite number in science and everyday life.
The energy continued to build as all students competed in Pi quizzes, solving problems that required both quick thinking and deep mathematical understanding. One of the most anticipated moments of the day was when students gathered on the football field to form a massive human Pi symbol!
Of course, no Pi Day would be complete without the classic tradition of "pieing" teachers! Laughter and cheers echoed across the campus as students playfully covered their teachers in cream cakes, adding a fun and lighthearted twist to the day’s celebrations.
For those unfamiliar, Pi (𝜋) is the mathematical constant representing the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, approximately equal to 3.14159. It is an essential part of countless scientific and mathematical discoveries, making it a true hero in the world of numbers. At TNIS, we take every opportunity to help our students appreciate the beauty of mathematics—not just through equations, but through immersive experiences that make learning enjoyable and memorable.
