The STEAM Journey: From Passion to Purpose
At TNIS, STEAM learning is a continuous and connected journey that begins as early as Elementary School. Young learners engage directly and joyfully with the world of science through hands-on, interdisciplinary projects such as:
A highlight of the school year is the annual STEAM Fair, where students collaborate to build an imaginative “Smart STEAM City.” It’s an experience that transforms them into young engineers, fosters creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork — while naturally cultivating a love for science and technology.
STEAM with kindness: Projects that make a difference
By Middle School, students begin applying their STEAM skills to create more complex and meaningful solutions. One of the most touching projects is the Vietnamese Sign Language Learning App, developed by Grade 8 students.
Motivated by a personal experience — being unable to communicate with a hearing-impaired friend — the team asked: “How can technology make sign language easier to learn?” Their answer: a user-friendly mobile app built using MIT App Inventor. Beyond showcasing strong technical skills, the project reflects emotional intelligence and a deep sense of social responsibility. This is the true spirit of STEAM at TNIS: learning to understand – understanding to connect – and connecting to build a better world.
Proof of Excellence
The strong academic foundation and humanistic spirit of TNIS’s STEAM program have fueled remarkable achievements on the global stage:
With international accreditation from STEAM.org, a thoughtful academic pathway, and projects rooted in empathy, TNIS’s STEAM program is a launchpad into the future. Here, students grow into global citizens who are not only talented and innovative — but also deeply human.
