RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

1. University Guidance Counseling

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students regarding college selection, application processes, admission requirements, financial aid, and scholarships;
  • Assist students in identifying their career interests, strengths, and goals through assessments and individualized counseling;
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with colleges, universities, and other post-secondary institutions to facilitate student visits, admissions workshops, and information sessions;
  • Educate students and parents on college admissions processes, standardized testing, and other relevant topics through presentations, workshops, and written materials;
  • Maintain a comprehensive resource library on college and career-related topics for students, parents, and staff;
  • Coordinate and participate in School-wide events and initiatives that promote a college-going culture, such as college fairs, career days, and parent information nights;
  • Work closely with the School's Faculty to monitor students' progress toward graduation requirements and post-secondary readiness;
  • Assist students in developing and refining academic, personal, and social skills necessary for success in post-secondary education and careers;
  • Stay current on best practices in college and career counseling, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities through professional development, networking, and participation in relevant organizations;
  • Mentor students to plan and conduct independent projects and student-led initiatives;
  • Coordinate with necessary departments to facilitate other student’s life activities;

2. Curriculum and Teacher Professional Development

  • Support the Senior Leadership Team and R&D Team on curriculum developing, teacher training/observations/evaluations throughout the year;
  • Confer with colleagues regarding instructional techniques, organization of practices, etc. to provide guidance and mentoring where appropriate;

3. Others

  • Participate in school activities and events;
  • Other tasks as assigned by Line Manager, Senior Leadership Team and Board of Management.
